METSÄ BOARD TO SHOWCASE PREMIUM WHITE KRAFTLINERS FOR OUTSTANDING BRAND PROMOTION
FEFCO – Messe Wien, Austria, on 11–13 October
At the 2017 FEFCO Technical Seminar, Metsä Board was showcasing its recently launched unified product and service portfolio, including its complete white kraftliner range. The offering focuses on contributing to even more sustainable, safe and efficient packaging, now all under one Metsä Board family. As part of this launch Metsä Board introduced the ‘Better with Less’ concept that highlights the company’s aim to improve consumer experience and to make packaging even more sustainable.
Metsä Board’s white kraftliners, made from fresh fibres, add strength and printability to corrugated boards, producing attractive results for consumer and retail packs, shelf-ready packaging, displays and point-of-sale solutions. Its lightweight white kraftliners provide different options for top liners, reverse liners and fluting, creating numerous options to design packages that create better consumer experiences with less environmental impact.
Veijo Korkalainen, Commercial Director, White Kraftliners, goes onto explain: “It is clear that high quality corrugated packaging is playing an ever-greater role in the promotion and differentiation of product brands, particularly as on-line shopping grows.
We also recognise that the role of packaging materials in the circular economy is becoming ever more important. Consequently, we are actively developing solutions for reducing packaging weight and replacing non-renewable materials.”
Metsä Board has been working to reduce the carbon footprint in its operations and has also received recognition for this work.
